GLASS™ transparent stair tread cover
It is made from a transparent, non-slip material in accordance with DIN 51130. It helps to safeguard and protect stairs, parquet flooring and laminate flooring from scratches without covering them. It is also suitable for tiles with a smooth surface. The superior quality of the material is further confirmed by its B1 fire-retardant rating in accordance with DIN 4102.
The flexible material of the GLASS™ cover adapts to surfaces and edges, whilst the self-adhesive backing makes installation easy.
It provides excellent protection for wooden stair treads and landings against scratches and wear.
Self-adhesive stair treads (mats) are ideal for use during construction or renovation to protect attractive stairs or tiles. When applied to flat surfaces, they provide immediate protection without the need for major building work.
Widely used and recommended by manufacturers of wooden stairs.
We can produce GLASS™ covers in other dimensions on request.

Installation instructions:
- Measure the depth of the step
- Order the correct size and quantity of GLASS™ covers
- Dispose of the entire packaging in the waste paper bin
- Clean the surface to which the GLASS™ is to be applied using a dry cloth, then degrease it using a cotton cloth soaked in extraction petrol or isopropanol
- We stick the GLASS™ onto the surface to be protected as shown in the photo, from left to right (or vice versa); finally, we fold the edge down onto the riser - if required. We smooth it out by hand, with a soft cloth or a rubber squeegee
- Enjoy the benefits of the GLASS™ film
The protective film can be applied no earlier than 5 weeks after the surface has been varnished.
Environmental care and sustainability:
The packaging for GLASS™ overlays is always made from 100% cardboard and paper, both of which are recyclable together. Customers need not worry about separating plastic film, stretch film or adhesive tape from the packaging, as all components of our packaging can be disposed of together in the blue paper recycling bin!
For us, the environment is more important than the cost of packaging, and the product itself is made from just one material, which is 100% recyclable and has the lowest CO₂ carbon footprint - unlike carpet tiles (which consist of many different materials combined together!) etc.
Let's be mindful - let's look after the environment together
