• excellent transparency - brings out the colours of the stairs does not obscure the stairs like rubber or profiles/tapes!!!

• hypoallergenic for people and pets
• total thickness 0.5 mm - shoes do not snag on it like they do with thick stair treads
• also works well for pets without hurting their paw pads!
• Once removed, it should leave no traces for up to 1 year
• extended operating temperature range: -40 to +60°C
• UV resistance for up to 1 year

Installation instructions:

1. Measure the depth/length of the step
2. Order the appropriate size and quantity of SandGLASS™ tread covers
3. Dispose of the entire packaging in the paper recycling bin
4. Clean the surface to which the SandGLASS™ will be applied using a dry cloth, then degrease it using a cotton cloth soaked in, for example, isopropanol (e.g. 3M wipes available from our GLASS Accessories section)
5. Stick the SandGLASS™ onto the surface to be protected as shown in the photo, from left to right (or vice versa); finally, fold the tab down onto the skirting board (downwards) - if required. Smooth it out gently by hand, or more safely using a rubber mallet or a roller!
6. Enjoy the benefits of the SandGLASS™ overlay

The protective film can be applied no earlier than 5 weeks after the surface has been varnished.

Care: clean with a dustpan or a soft brush; not suitable for cleaning with cloths or mops. Mild detergents may be used, although the surface itself is resistant to many chemicals, oils, etc.

The packaging for SandGLASS™ covers is always made from 100% cardboard and paper. These materials can be recycled together. Buyers do not need to worry about separating plastic film, stretch film or plastic tape from the packaging, as all components of our packaging can be disposed of together in the blue paper recycling bin! The packing tape is also made of paper and is FSC-certified, which attests to the conscious and responsible use of resources. We hold the Der Grüne Punkt certification.

For us, the environment is more important than the price of the packaging. Our product is made from just one material, which is 100% recyclable and has the lowest CO₂ carbon footprint - unlike carpet tiles (which consist of many different materials combined together!) etc.

We dispatch SandGLASS pads in a special, heavyweight cardboard box or in a paper tube with thick walls (approx. 4 mm); all packaging is new and does not come from recycled materials previously used for chemicals, etc.

If you choose our courier, Mathey System will also cover the carbon neutrality fee!
