WallGLASS™ transparent wall-mounted impact barrier

WallGLASS™ is the perfect solution for any location where walls need to be protected.

This self-adhesive wall protector protects walls from damage and scuffing caused by chairs, armchairs, table edges or doors. It protects wall corners from minor dents and scratches, whilst its water-resistant properties protect against dirt and splashes. 

The transparency of WallGLASS™ allows the attractive finish of a painted wall to be retained, whilst the flexible material enables application at any angle and on any corner or cylindrical column. 

The odourless WallGLASS™ protective strip is suitable for both commercial and private use; it is popular amongst owners and managers of restaurants, hotels, office buildings and universities. It works exceptionally well in historic buildings, where strict regulations and standards regarding building components apply. Thanks to the WallGLASS™ skirting board's B1 fire resistance rating under DIN 4102, the requirements of the historic buildings conservation authority are met. 

Due to its matt finish, WallGLASS™ is also used on glass walls and doors in offices and conference rooms, where it ensures privacy.

Genuine WallGLASS™ wall protectors feature:

• a special protective border around the actual protector during transport
• a minimum thickness of 0.2 mm of technical laminate, rather than thin 0.1 mm film
• rounded edges, which ensure the protector is fixed to the walls much more securely than those with sharp corners

Installation instructions 

1. 1. 1. Measure the height of the area on the wall that you intend to protect
      2. Order a bumper of the correct dimensions
      3. Clean the surface where the bumper is to be fitted using a dry cloth and prime the wall (the wall should also be primed before painting)
      4. Remove the protective border
      5. Stick the skirting board down from left to right, or vice versa. Do not peel off the entire paper backing at once - reveal only the section you are sticking down at that moment.
      6. Press down firmly with your hand, a soft cloth or a bumper roller

It is recommended that the skirting board be fitted by two people from a qualified fitting service.

The result depends largely on the quality of the wall finish, any unevenness in the surface, the care taken during preparation (prior priming) and the application of the adhesive itself.

 Environmental initiatives

From the very beginning, Mathey System has pioneered a new market approach to online sales and care for the planet and the environment: 

Mathey System product packaging is always made from 100% cardboard and paper. These materials can be recycled together. Buyers do not need to worry about separating plastic film, stretch film or plastic tape from the packaging, as all components of our packaging can be disposed of together in the blue paper recycling bin! The packing tape is also made of paper and is FSC-certified, which demonstrates the conscious and responsible use of resources. We hold the DerGrunePunkt certification. The product itself is wound onto a tube and secured with PE caps. 

For us, the environment is more important than the price of the packaging. Our product is made from just one material, which is 100 per cent recyclable and has the lowest CO₂ footprint. 

We dispatch Mathey System products in a special heavyweight cardboard box and/or a paper tube with thick walls of approx. 3 mm. 

If you choose our courier, Mathey System will also cover the carbon neutrality fee for your order!
